Speak Up 2009 National Findings Teachers, Pre-Service Teachers & Administrators

Each spring the Speak Up findings are released during a Congressional Briefing in Washington, DC to members of congress, congressional staffers and other individuals interested in education. For the first-time ever, Project Tomorrow will include the results of the Speak Up 2009 Aspiring Teachers survey.

In fall 2009, Project Tomorrow surveyed online over 368,000 K-12 students, parents, teachers, pre-service teachers and administrators from all 50 states to learn:

What barriers are holding back innovation and the use of education technology in our schools?
How can we improve learning opportunities for all students using emerging technologies such as digital textbooks, online learning, mobile devices, games and social networking?
How can we help our students become “Digital Citizens” while addressing parents’ concerns about internet safety and technology use at school?
What’s needed to develop the next generation of teachers?
